818 Amaretto Sour

A flirty twist on a classic, blending the nutty sweetness of amaretto with 818 Tequila's smooth agave charm. Topped with a frothy citrus kiss, it’s your go-to for a big night in.

  1. Ingredients:
  2. 1.0 OZ 818 Tequila Reposado Amaretto (recipe below)
  3. 1.0 oz lemon juice
  4. 0.5 oz simple syrup
  5. 1 egg white
  6. Dash Angostura bitters
  7. + cherries or berries (for garnish)
  • Prep:
  • For the Cocktail:
  • (1) In a cocktail shaker with no ice, combine the 818 Amaretto, lemon juice, egg white, simple syrup, and bitters. Dry shake vigorously.
  • (2) Add ice to the shaker and shake until chilled.
  • (3) Strain and pour into a rocks glass with a large ice cube. Garnish with a cherry or berries.
  • For the 818 Tequila Reposado Amaretto:
  • (1) Combine 1 cup water, 1 cup white sugar, and ½ cup brown sugar in a pot and bring to a boil, then simmer until all sugar dissolves.
  • (2) Add 1 cup of the resulting mixture to the 818 Reposado in a large, heat-proof bottle or resealable jar.
  • (3) Add 2 TBSP almond extract and stir or shake gently to combine.
